Andriod TV dongle ?

by johny696969

I really like the android tv interface however they dont make a cheaper dongle like amazon firetv stick gen2 refurb @ $29.99. I only know of Nvidea Shield, Nexus player, and Mi box. Is there another one that is a cheaper and or How can I get the android tv dongle?

Please understand that Amazon gets away with these low prices because Amazon hardware is seen as a gateway drug to Amazon Prime, and other Amazon digital content. The hardware might even be sold at (or close to) cost when they go on sale. It's the same thing with their tablets.

Nope mibox is the cheapest

so basically I don't need chromecast or youtube netflix or amazon. I need a dongle with usb power I prefer android tv with bluetooth remote. I am going to run nfl sunday ticket, NHL, and MLB.tv and perfect player. At this point I can't find anything under 29.99 HDMI streaming stick with remote. I would think you would find something for 19.99

The MeCool M8S Pro L can be had for around $60 here and there. I wouldn't want to play games on it, but it's a decent streamer box, and reasonably priced. The Pro W is cheaper but I wouldn't trust it. Both actually run AndroidTV, but don't have Chromecast reciever capability.

My thoughts on the M8S Pro L: https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/8s4vez/the_mecool_chronicle_part_1_m8s_pro_l_initial/

You can get a dongle depends on your country. Check my post in the title about full list of certified AndroidTV devices

If you do not need Chromecasting and 1080p only Netflix with no Amazon Video support the Android TV - Nougat - MECOOL Pro W with voice remote is the cheapest I've seen.
