In case anyone was wondering, the update works fine for those who had installed the leaked Nougat betas. DRM intact too.

Checked for updates, installed here in Argentina, had to re enter wifi password on one of my connections but besides that, it's working great.
First thing I noticed is that now my wireless xbox 360 controller gets properly mapped, light locks on 1 instead of flashing as before. Works on the games gf uses to play (crossy road, pacman 256, thanks gods) but not on Geometry Wars 3 (before I could select level but right stick didn't work, now, it doesn't work at all). Will have to reinstall some emulators to see how it fares there.
Still don't like the new "channels" paradigm, would love to at least get a new "channel" for games below apps...

Just a quick question, with Oreo, is there a permission to write to external drives? (Like HDD or pendrive)? With 6.0 there wasn't any option to write or delete from there.

Can confirm Dolby TrueHD (incl Atmos) passthrough now works! Tested with Kodi 17.6. That alone makes the update awesome for me!

Ok: Two MiBoxen upgraded. Everything went smoothly with both. Didn't have to re-enter WiFi passwords on either. Had to re-pair one of the two remotes. Netflix subscription retained on each. Silicon Dust HDHomeRun app works fine as an app .
The bad news: Not unexpectedly, but disappointing nonetheless: Still no DD+ -> DD transcoding :(

Full disclosure: the install was less painless than my Shield, setup-wise & doesn't have any glitches thus far.

Box has been using adoptive storage since Beta 7.0 924, which is what her box finally updated from today.
Anyone is having WiFi disconnecting issues every 3-5 minutes ? I didnt have them on MM.
Got the Oreo update on my MiBox, didn't like it adding a bunch of unwanted apps like Red Bull TV, Hulu and Pandora. And they are system apps and cannot be uninstalled, only disabled.
Refresh rate switching, the settings are there just doesn't do anything.
Games are more difficult to access now because they are not in the main screen. They could make one of those horizontal strips for games.

Can't sideload apks with es file Explorer since Oreo update. Unknown sources switch is not listed for sideloaded apks
USBs that worked on MM are not working on Oreo for me, anyone having similar issue? I think that both are ntfs

Does it fix the boxes with DRM issues I wonder? I have 2 without issue and 1 with the issue. Updating my issue box and see. My guess is not because even the betas didn’t fix it.

That's awesome! Xiaomi, you're forgiven. I know they were wrong not to bring Nougat or any frequent security updates but this, Oreo for such a cheap device launched almost two years ago... THIS IS FANTASTIC!
And received only a few days or weeks after the powerful Shield TV, it's even more incredible. Congratulations Xiaomi, Mi Box was one of the best investments I ever made.
