Does anyone else with AVR setup experience HDCP and audio issues with the latest MiBox Oreo update?
Does anyone else with AVR setup experience HDCP and audio issues with the latest MiBox Oreo update?
I have the same issue with my Pioneer vsx-832. When the signal goes from the MI Box through the receiver to the TV I get an error that the TV does not support hdpc 2.2. No issues before the update, but now I can't use my 5.1 home cinema because of this error.
same HDCP 2.2 issue when connected to the media player (back) hdmi port.
only 480p when connected to the Aux (front) hdmi port. no audio.
works fine when connected directly to an old 720p TV
Same HDCP 2.2 with a Denon AVR-S920W receiver. Although I can't even boot my mi box. It fails and says my TV doesn't support. Tried to factory reset via recovery and got the same error.
Same issue with my AVR.
Xiaomi mi box is connected to smart Samsung TV. The TV connected to AVR with optical wire.
No Audio since OREO update.
I would like to rollback but don't find any manual from Oreo to Marshmallow.
Same issue with Yamaha RX-V481...
Same issue Denon AVR 2300 waiting for a fix :(
Same issue with a Yamaha RX-A2040 into a KDL-60W850B.
Full HDCP 2.2 compliance in both devices.
Very annoying, mibox into the tv results in a loss of 5.1 for a variety of formats as the TV is unable to passthrough the audio.
Hi everyone..lately i had the same issue with Mi Box Oreo update.. and my poroblem is gone with a lil addition of a hardware..Now I m able to play not only DTS HD MASTER AUDIO ATMOS DTX DD through my Denon Avr X1400H (Player is Kodi by the way) but also getting picture on my 1080p HD Samsung 6 series TV which is certainly not HDCP2.2 compliant.. so here what I have done... i bought a HDMI Splitter which cost me around $8 and connected my MI BOX to Input port and output port is connected to my Denon AVR HDMI port ..and thats it.. No HDCP issues anymore .. I know its not sophisticated engneering but didnt have other option.. so mine is working fine now
I have the same AVR, just tried Luke Cage on Netflix and it switched to HDR and is playing DD+ properly. Not sure if it matters but I did a factory reset after the update.
Playing 5.1 streams on Netflix results in no audio for me. I can, however, now get Dolby TrueHD content to passthrough with Kodi (incl Atmos).
Same issue with my Denon 1200w and Full HD TV (not HDCP 2.2). So I have connected my MiBox directly on the TV and use ARC HDMI capability to transfer audio from MiBox through TV to the Denon.
No issues at all with a 4K HDR HDCP 2.2 capable Yamaha YSP 2700 soundbar.
I had the same issue after upgrading to nougat beta version. Error message from the AVR (Denon 2300) that the TV (Epson projector) is not HDCP 2.2 compliant.
Solution:
Using a HDMI splitter between Mi Box and AVR witch "filters" out HDCP. (Amazon: CSL - 4k UHD HDMI Splitter ; 20$)
Same issue here with Denon AVRX2400H
Sometimes I'll get a HDCP 2.2 error. Sometimes turning off and on the AVR bypasses the error but then once logged into the mi box, no sound from any apps at all.
Worked fine before the update.
I have the same issue MI BOX got Oreo and now I am unable to watch anything .. my Mi Box was connected to Samsung HD tv (not 4k) through Denon AVR X1400h and i was able to play DTS movies even ATMOS files before this Oreo update.. but now it says "This content can not be displayed, your tv is not supportive to HDCP2.2" .. now i have connected my MI BOX directly to my TV and it is running with both audio and video but cant watch DD or DTS movies... please can anyone help out whats need to be done..i have tried HDMI splitter as well but receiver then doesnt recognize the audio format of a DTS movie and plays it in STEREO MODE, which kills the purpose of buying this box
Same issue on Yahama RX483... Was working fine until the update. Not sure if I can switch off HCDP 2.2 on either unit?
I've had the same issue, old 1080p TV with a 4K-HDCP 2.2 receiver (Yamaha RX-V479). Whenever I switched the resolution to more than 720p, I'd get no picture and then a message from receiver that the signal is not compatible with my TV and I should switch the cable to a HDCP2.2-compliant input on the TV.
Luckily my receiver is only barely HDCP2.2-capable, so I just switched the Mi Box to a non-HDCP 2.2 input, and it works now at 1080p.
But definitely some issue with MiBox I would say, probably with HDMI handshake. If only one of the devices is not HDCP2.2-compliant, the source device should just switch to normal signal and display a message that you can't play certain content. It guesses the available resolutions correctly (i.e. no 4K is shown with me), but somehow senses my TV is HDCP2.2...
