I have a Mi Box (oreo), I use Kodi sometimes to watch from my Emby server or through Placenta, and both update Trakt through the Kodi Trakt plugin. However I also use the Netflix Android TV app, which doesn't update Trakt's watchlist.

Trakt would have to be allowed use of Netflix APIs. Which they don't.
So no. Unless you work around it like suggested above.
You can synchronize your history with Traktflix every once in a while. But not via Android TV.
