Live motion previews don't work after Oreo update.

Question

I thought the channel previews were supposed to play when you hover over them in Oreo? I am not experiencing this on my SHield or Mibox. For example hovering over a youtube preview on the homescreen does nothing. The Live channels previews look like they are trying to load, but do nothing. Am I missing something?

Live channels previews work for me on Mibox with my HDHomerun Prime tuners. They take about 3-4 seconds to load up the channel though before it starts playing it though. It's not really a useful feature if it takes that long to load up the preview, so you're not missing much. I checked it out to see if it works, and haven't really used that feature again lol.

I'm not getting it either, even with settings saying to show preview.

The feature has to be implemented by the app developers so it's hit or miss. Live channels works (slowly) but I don't think YouTube does, maybe they will update soon.
