Here are some of the issues I have with Google Assistant
- The voice recognition has become extremely inaccurate.
- Assistant is unable to show any personalised results like calendar, reminders etc. (Yes. I have checked Google the settings to enable personalised results.)
- Does not perform actions like Google Home would do.

Yes, I'm having the exact same problem, before the update the voice recognition was fine and accurate (for Spanish and English) now with oreo, the recognition SUCKS BIG TIME, its absolutely unusable!!
Actually Google assistant on Android tv is bad,
Im from the US and received the update earlier this week. Besides having to reinstall Plex I didnt have any issue with the update except when I tried the Google Assistant last night. It doesnt understand what im saying at all. In fact none of the voice recognition seems to work anymore. Does anyone else have this issue with all voice recognition? I hope a software update can be issued to fix this.

They serve different purposes. I have Google Homes in rooms with TVs, but I use them for very different purposes than the assistant in Android TV. If you're using it from Android TV, it's correct that it takes that context into account. If I've got dinner in the oven, I ask my Google Home to set a timer, not the TV which I might have stopped watching by then!
What I'd like from Android TV is "who is that?" and it reverse image searches the actor's face. Context!
Mine is far more accurate, I used to have to repeat things multiple times before it would get it right, now almost every time it's correct.
Hey, I am also from India, after Oreo update mic & home button isn't working. Is there anyone else facing the same issues.
