So I understand how to install google chrome on my mi box, but when I try to install it from the google play store its say "No eligible devices for app install", I see between the devices my xiaomi mi box 3 but I'm unable to choose it and install google chrome there.
I got this issue aswell. Support lines for both Google and Phillips are useless at fixing it.
Apparently Phillips thinks this "Phillips Internet" browser is fine. It's horsecrap.
I was under the impression Smart TV's had become "Smart". Seems i was wrong. They are STILL dumb-TV's.
You can try use the voice assistant and say 'open chrome' ?
Google remove something from the play store to recognize ATV devices with certain apps, some non Android TV apps recognized my device (Mi Box) to be installed directly from the play store but after a few days it doesn't recognize it anymore, I read something about it at Android Police, so the only option from now is to sideload the app. The only ones recognized are ATV apps only.
