Mi box menu to open apps in oreo?

by ricardob15

Anyone experiencing the following problem. When. I try to open an app I get a mini menu as you can see on the pic below. What is wrong? Is this normal? Any fix?

It looks like you're long pressing the button.

You have something turned on in Accessibility.

Go to settings, Accessibility, and then turn *everyone" of them off. If any are on then you get the menu and a few other UI issues.

Turn off whichever apps you turned on under the Accessibility 'Services' menu in Settings.

I thought this was the new norm in oreo. I have this same 'issue'.

I did a fresh install mine also does this. But I wasn't away that it wasn't normal for the Android TV version but I'll check setting when I get home. It def isn't something I changed to be that way but was default action from a fresh install.

Can confirm what others have said here. It's something turned on in accessibility settings. In my case I have the mouse toggle app installed and it was switched on in accessibility. Turning it off resolved the issue.

Dont remember if mine started doing that instantly after update, but I did a factory reset and it went away

As other have said it is an accessibility setting. For me it was having Mouse Toggle turned on (even though I wasn't in mouse mode).

The Shield Oreo Beta was doing this. It’s like you long press on an app to move it. I just hit my arrow back key(whatever button takes you to the previous screen on your remote)

You can find it in Buttons and Gestures in settings. Try checking something is off there.
