Mi/Oreo, Do channels ever update?

by Joaquins_Void

I use Youtube, Twitch, VLC, Neverthink and Spotify.

None of these show anything meaningful in their channels. The youtube/subscriptions channel show three clips I watched two weeks ago. Twitch I suppose shows stuff they want to push, but nothing that I am subscribed to. Kind of like I am getting some kind of "defaults", it doesn't change day to day.

Play Next only shows that blue dog icon.

So, do they work for anyone else?

(I have a hardware firewall that may be interfering, but before I start tinkering with that I want to know if this feature actually works yet.)

Yes, they update, but they are far from perfect. I'm more likely to see a new video from a subscribed channel in my Recommended channel than in my Subscribed channel.

Yes, I agree, the horizontal bars would be more useful if they showed videos from your suscribed channels instead of trending videos.

Yeah same for me. Everything is just useless. Netflix is showing. Otherwise YouTube, spotify just shows old stuff. Play next shows nothing.

vizNNN

You add stuff to Play Next.

The Play Next has worked for me (besides adding content manually) only with Play Movies and TV, when I stop watching a video, it appears there automatically so I can resume it directly from the home screen, I whish Netflix and others had the same behavior.

The Youtube app could definitely use a lot more work. :/ The recommendations tab is pretty spot on but the subscription section is broken. All its showing me is a single channel.
