Just got a reply from Philips Poland that they are aware of the issue and a fix should be implemented with the new update. Guess our tickets didn't end up in the shreder. Cheers!
Had the same using the mobdro app , reloaded a fresh copy and that seems to have sorted it out .
That happens when the TV is trying to display a video at the wrong resolution, without upscaling.
I have this too on the pus6501. Let's hope the rumoured Oreo update comes through and this is fixed with it.

Seems to happen with certain videos at 720p or higher - some work fine even all the way up to 4K, others have corrupted/distorted output as shown. SD videos all work fine. If I uninstall all updates and revert to the factory version of the app, the issue disappears. TV is a Philips 49PUS6401 from 2016. My workaround for now is to use Kodi with the YouTube plugin for videos that don't play correctly, but considering this is a fully Google-ecosystem platform it's kind of a ridiculous bug to be having.
Same problem for me with Philips too.
How long is this issue going on? Just got the 65PUS7101 and I don't know if a fix is around the corner or has this been going on for months... EDIT: Noticed this happens on 1920x1080@60FPS videos anything below 60FPS plays fine...
55PUS6561 is my TV - same problem since few days
Please report your issue to YouTube here:
It is Youtube issue. Try to roll back to the older version of Youtube app.
It's Philips the issue. You must contact support. More people we are to talk about that and more we have a chance that they fix it.
Before Chromecast built-in Android TV was the same issue but Philips fix it. YouTube was not fixed.
My workaround is to use YouTube apps from my phone and send the video to TV with Chromecast built-in.
