Can't sign in after enabling 2 factor authentication

by OhHeyItsBrock

Does anyone have a fox for this? Recently enabled 2 factor on my Gmail then sends a notification to my phone if I sign in somewhere and I just click yes and I'm supposed to be logged in. Now when I try to log into Android TV (on my shield) it says there has been a problem. Every time.

Yes, I had this too a few years ago, after a day of trying to fix it I just gave up. Android TV simply doesn't support 2 step authentication (as far as I know).

I have 2fv on as well. I get a confirmation on my phone, press yes and I am logged in. Weird shit.

Is this the actual problem? Interesting. I use GSuite with a custom domain and 2FA. Oreo top right screen says there's a problem with my account, also the YouTube app won't allow me to login, I click login and no action. I factory restored my MiBox to Oreo - same problem. I got into the admin console of my GSuite and tried to enable "Android mobile device management" for my account but that gave me an error saying "it couldn't be done right now".

This was never an issue with Marshmallow, nor is it an issue with my AppleTV.

There is a way to generate unique Google passwords for non-2FA enabled clients - has anyone tried that?

Same. Turned off 2 factor after a few weeks of trying to just live life.

Did you ever figure this out?
