Don't forget the consistent and incessant "Which Android TV box should I get, the ZingYang or the ChanShin? What do you mean they aren't AndroidTV? You intolerant bleeps!!"

flicter22

Remember that dumbass that posted the gif about Shield owners having to wait longer than Mi Box owners? Lol.

I, for one, think it's hilarious - a month ago this sub was like "Mibox will never be upgraded, what a piece of crap"

Meanwhile, I've been over here working with my Mibox for over a year without an update, and it was perfectly fine. And guess what, it STILL is perfectly fine for my needs.

You get what you ask for, as far as I'm concerned.

Shield will get better with future updates. I don't know if I can say the same about the Mibox. Both will get better with app developer support though.

There has to be a common denominator to some of these issues as for the shield anyway. I have 2 shields, 1 pro and 1 basic. Both 2017 versions, both updated to Oreo, both connected via Ethernet and both running flawlessly.

mrmikedude100

Got a shield myself. I thankfully haven't experienced any issue with the update but most of the reported problems are over on r/ShieldAndroidTV.

Edit: Not saying the thread is flooded with problems just saying that they are mainly posted there. :)

When a new update comes, of course there will be an uptick of Shield and Mi box issues and questions.

It's more annoying to get meaningless posts like this, imho.

well we don't have that Oreo issue at /r/bravia
