Most interesting information I found listening to this so far starts at timecode 27:04.

One of the hosts brings up the Chromecast, and mentions that his current Chromecast handles high quality video really well. He asks if Android TV could be miniaturized to the size and form factor of the latest Chromecast.

The Android TV team replied this way

"The short answer is Yes you can. Um. I can't go into the details about what kind of hardware is in there just because I'm not sure we're allowed to share. But I can tell you the class of processor that is needed will actually run Android TV. And so with all the efforts we undertook in Android P we're fairly confident that not only with the SoC but with a lower amount of RAM....which is always by the way very critical; the price of the device is usually dictated by the amount of RAM it uses and less so by it's SoC and to some extent by the amount of flash that it uses.....So we're confident that we can..our OEMs or ourselves, could create devices that actually are in the same class as the hardware used by Chromecast"

They didn't mention the ADT-2 hardware specifically, and we already know that is a dongle. What I take from this is A - someone will be building an Android TV dongle, either Google or a partner. But more importantly for the platform B - they are focused on a low price point for the dongle, comparable to the Chromecast, with quality performance. Fingers crossed.
