Help needed

by Pauric1988

Having trouble finding out what I need so I'm hoping someone on here will be able to help me.

Basically I want to buy an Adriod Tv box of some sort that allows for a SIM card to be used to access data. Currently where I live I have very limited access to the internet, but I do recieve 4G signal. My idea is to use a network called "Three" in the UK which allows unlimited streaming from Netflix, Deezer and two other apps that I can't recall. I was hoping to the use the Andriod Box to set up as a hotspot as well to allow myself and my wife to use this as our wifi.

the problem is I'm not sure if this is possible as the only andriod boxes that I am seeing with SIM card holder are al coming from Alibi and so I can't really find out if they are legit or not.

Any help would be greatly apperciated

You pretty much got the answer with the other 2 people who replied. A Hotspot device is the best option for you to run a Sim card. Or you can have a personal wifi Hotspot with your cell phone as well. Most cell phones these days have that option. I don't believe they will ever come out with an android box that has a Sim slot, though it would be great for camping.

Just use a hotspot 'puck' instead. This functionality doesn't need to exist inside the streaming device.

I would think it would be easier to buy a mobile hotspot device that your sim can go in and then you can use any WiFi device you want with it, including an Android box.

Instead of a mobile hot spot you could also just buy an old phone that allows video out and hook that up to the tv. Install an app to control it from your ' real' phone and you're good to go

As the others said, a hotspot puck, but if you don't just want WiFi, a number of routers support a 4g connection through usb devices attached to them
