Anderic RR-ST-01 remote control with AndroidTV

I bought Anderic RR-ST-01 remote control to control my SheildTV and MiBox, through CEC HDMI. I was wondering if there is any work around with 3rd party remotes where I can program a home button instead of clicking back a few times to exit out of a app.

There is an IR command for Home on the Mi Box. If you have a Logitech remote, you can teach your new remote.

i have flirc programmed to send the home key. works fine. mapped from any arbitrary ir code.
