Channel support [List]

by bobo2beat

I was looking for a list of the apps that support the homescreen channels in the Oreo release for android tv since there is no clear indication anywhere and the only way is to try all apps. Obviously i didn't find such a list so i am making my own. These are the app that i have found so far support channels and i hope you add some more.

UgglyNoodle

My app HopWatch for browsing Reddit has a home screen channel. Currently you can choose to populate recommendations from /r/videos or /domain/youtube.com , but I'm working on allowing more customisation.

Buh_Snarf

Emby does, too.

donsmith2060

NHK World

DW

France24

VUDU

Kodi

donsmith2060

Bloomberg TV as well

Ausernameneeded

I found a lot of "support" for Channels, but very little proper support. Most are advertisments of under guise of popular.

Once Netflix shows your list (or part of), Vudu/Google Movies show your own movies, Vue shows your favorite channels or DVRs, etc.... then I would consider it properly used.

Currently, the only properly used Channels are YouTube and PlutoTV (to a degree). The rest I tried just shows ads.

Knotreallybad

cbc news, mlb at bat, nbc, fox now,fx now

verab9

I can confirm that Starz has 2 channels ( starz home and recommended). Freefrom has 1 channel that sometimes disappear on it's own and comes back once you enter the app. HBOnow has 1 channel so does CBS all access.

Oscilx

You can also add Google news which creates a channel and occasionally content. Obviously not finished but does work.

I use Arc Browser and it has 1 channel. The channel will show your recently played titles so you can quickly jump back into the game regardless of which emu system you need without needing to go back through your list.

Oreo users on shield, does Amazon Prime support channels in your devices?
