Casting to mi box just opens app instead of casting

Essentially as the title says , every time I try to cast to my mi box using Netflix, Stan , Animelab or Crunchyroll, it just opens up the app and becomes non-responsive. The only app it actually casts with is YouTube, this issue literally started over night as it was working fine yesterday.

I want to be able to at least cast as all the apps have audio issues, audio is slightly quicker than video and Netflix keeps giving me errors on most of the titles after showing 3-5 seconds of the stream.

I'm still on 6.0.1 as I only bought it recently and missed the 8.0 OTA.

Does anyone know any solutions or current system issues/errors.

Some days back I faced the same, but it was a problem from Google. It got fixed in 1-2 days. Just wait for some time and also check if you are running the latest version of Chromecast Built-in.

Here I thought the 8.0 upgrade caused it. For me YouTube opens and plays, Netflix just opens.

On 6.0 I also had that issue of the audio out of sync after the box was turned on for a few days. Rebooting would temporarily fix it for another few days.
