My kids watch YouTube cartoons in the morning before we run out the door. I don't have time in the morning to fiddle with a remote (let alone find under which kid it currently is... cause they themselves surely don't know...). When it's time to go, it's "OK Google, turn off TV" time (which triggers a Harmony activity that toggles power on TV, Mi Box, sound amp, etc).
The problem is that ever since the Oreo update, when I turn on the TV in the evening, it just immediately starts playing YouTube where it left off (in the middle of the cartoons). Wouldn't be too big a deal, but usually this happens after the kids just went to bed, and the sound volume is left at 11/10 since morning. And since Harmony triggers sequences in order, I got to wait a few seconds for the sequence to finish before I can even lower the volume (while it's blaring PJ Masks to wake the kids right back up).
Is there a setting in Oreo to not autoresume playback after waking from sleep? Maybe a YouTube app setting I am missing? Is there a different "power toggle" button in Harmony setup for the MiBox now so it doesn't do this?
I know, first world problems, but this is driving me and wife crazy, and she is about to throw my stupid toys away
I have the same issue. I don't know how to fix it either, previously I thought it was playing the whole time I left it while the TV is off.
