Is this installed from the Play store or sideloaded?

I wouldn't recommend using ES Explorer, last time I checked they have a persistent floating overlay . Not to mention the app itself has been adding bloatware over time.

I highly recommend using Solid File Explorer or X-Plore, they're much cleaner and works well with no issues.

Turn your TV 90 degrees clockwise

Does the same for me with the latest version from play store. After going through those few screens it turns normal way up.

Download an APK called set orientation.

if rooted I'd suggest xposed and some module e.g. App settings 1.6. But for file exploring yes there should be a TV version available for the very same app. I myself use Xplore which works flawlessly

As some here have mentioned, X-plore is a great file explorer that has a TV version in the Play Store. ES has a TV version as well, but it's a little busy and full of ads these days.

When sideloading phone apps, there are some out there that are only in portrait mode, like what you show here. There are a couple of apps out there that let you set the screen orientation. A quick Google search of Android TV set orientation or screen rotation turns up a few really good ones.

I had this too, but only on this screen. It returned to landscape after I chose something

I had the same problem. Had to stick a mouse in the usb of my 930e so I could click on the agree button.

Install the TV version instead of the phone version?
