just updated the box at Oreo, before update 60fps videos were played at 30fps but in any resolution I wanted, now for videos at 30fps I can select the resolution (up to 1440p, bye bye 4k) while those at 60fps up to 720p and they are reproduced at 720p60. Is it a known problem? some way to force the 30 fps and higher resolution?

Even on the Nvidia Shield its weird. I can't play 4K 60 FPS videos. Its bumps it down to 1440p 60 fps.
Reproted it to them through a feedback site.
Uninstall the app update and the stock one will work fine. I thought it was an issue with the YouTube app and Oreo, but on Shield TV it's working fine on the last version.
Make sure your resolution isn't set to auto. Mine would default to 720p on a 4k tv.
