Xbox One controller on Steam Link app issue

by bluedestiny88

I have the Sony Bravia 900 series with Android TV and I was able to pair my Xbox One Controller to it wireless via Bluetooth. However, the Steam Link only recognizes it as an Android Controller and thus in certain games, the back button only responds as a Steam Big Picture menu button and the Xbox Button brings me back to the Android Home screen. Has anyone figured out how to get the Steam Link app to recognize the controller as an Xbox Controller?

I managed to fixed this. Go to steam link controller settings and as I remember theres an option to bind input buttons in it. (At uni right now will check and let you know) follow the setup as they tell you to press buttons on the controller and it will work as a normal xbox controller.

Yeah same issue with xbox360 controller. So instead of connecting the controller to mibox, I just connect it to the pc. Interested to know if anyone has solution for this.

Does your PC have an Nvidia gpu? If so, you might want to try Moonlight Game Streaming, another streaming app in the Play Store.

I have a Sony Bravia TV and an Xbox One controller. The controller works as expected in Moonlight and all of the games I have in Steam play great. Since Moonlight uses Nvidia streaming technology, you have to have an Nvidia gpu for it to work.

Here's a link for a setup guide that is useful after you install from the Play Store:

I realize this is an old thread but hopefully someone has some input. I started remapping the buttons on the Xbox One controller but it doesn't allow you to remap the main Xbox button, it just opens the menu. Assuming this is more of a Steam Link app issue but...
