Mi Box - USB Pendrive NTFS not working after update

Hi guys!

I have a Xiaomi Mi Box that I bought from China (I'm from Brazil). Recently they did an update to Android 8.0, which has impacted " my TV Box. Because after this update, the USB drive is no longer recognized. I've already tried to format the drive, I've updated the system (It has an update which should fix this bug, but didn't worked at all). When I do format the pendrive on the Mi Box, my PC don't recognizes it, and them I have to format again, and when I put it into the box again, it doesn't recognizes there, so I have to format again. Though it did work formating in FAT32, but I can only copy files with less then 4GB. Anyone have any idea to make it work again? Like before the update? PS: The USB(Pendrive) capacity is 32Giga

Try to format it using exfat instead of NTFS. An external HDD would be a better choice tho.

Just received an update which I think fixes this issue.

Are you formatting it as internal storage?

I've tried both a 64GB USB 3.0 flash drive and 2TB 5400rpm hard drive and both work well on Mi Box Oreo now. Both are formatted NTFS too.

I'd say make sure you have the latest Oreo update from last week, and do a factory reset. Set it back up and everything should work. Otherwise not sure.

I'm having similar issues even after the supposed update fix. But my 4tb drive gets formatted to only 1.6tb instead of the full 4tb.

The other issues are pretty much as you described.
