Ok thanks guys! First I will clear cache etc then if this doesn't work i'll retry the modified version. It was working till a few days ago but I will report back. And to the poster who said DTV needs to get their shiet together is absolutely true.
Edit I see there was an upload to the Amazon non store version on 7-11. Will report back

According to someone on r/DirecTVNow they talked to someone in customer service who said an Android app is coming. Take that with a grain of salt though.
I've found that it helps to force stop and clear cache from time to time on the DTVNow app. I've got a mibox and it works with the latest modified version
I run it on my shield it’s not ideal but gets the job done. The guide is the biggest problem for me. It rarely scrolls so I have to flip through all the channels.
I'm using the latest modified ver. on my Sheild and it works without any issues.
I did a Google search and downloaded a apk from a Reddit thread that was 2 months old works great on my mii box
Honestly, if DTVN won't support AndroidTV, I'd switch to someone who does support it. PlayStation Vue (my personal favorite), SlingTV, YouTubeTV, etc.
Or if you love DTVN, get a device that supports it.
To me, a customer shouldn't have to sideload an app just to use it's service. AT&T should make it available on all devices, or risk losing customers on a device they chose not to support.
