Mibox sluggish AF when you wake it after many hours

by fede01_8

Does this happen to anyone else?

What's the fucking point of not having a Power Off function if you have to reboot it every time you turn it on?! Buggy POS

My Mi Box runs awesome with the Oreo update, this doesn't happen at all for me. Maybe try a factory reset sounds like something went wrong.

Yeah currently this is another Oreo bug which is a show stopper.

Power off / sleep / wake / remote wake.. All are just hopeless.

Factory reset hasnt helped in any way I can see.

Mine was doing that too. Figured out that it was hot af, so I changed its place to a cooler area, uninstalled all apps keeping only SPMC, Netflix, Prime and Youtube. It still lags after streaming for some time, but less than it was doing before. I suspect the wi-fi modem is one of the culprits.

Overall performance is way lower than MM IMHO.

I have found my mibox was actually hot even after a period of being in standby mode, and needed a reboot. I thought maybe some processes were active even while it was in standby, but I have no way to test the theory.

I haven't had any lockups since my last update, but when I would scroll to the side quickly in plex it'd lock the mibox about 20% of the time, where I couldn't kill it with the power button, and I'd need to get up and remove power for a few seconds.

I found at first it would not turn on after long standby about 5% of the time (maybe happened 2 or 3 times for me).

After the last update, it never happened again.

Do you have sideloaded apps, ES Explorer, or put it in standby ("power off") while in an app?

I have that issue. Found that if i toggle the sleep button when it happens, it wakes it up.

I also am having this issue with 2 out of my three mi boxes
