I am tired of youtube problems in the new version. My decice crash 3 times in the same video. And the wifi just restart every few minutes.
VLC is also having some performance issues while playing anime, but i dont now if its because Oreo too. This probably is because some weird codec.
This is a nightmare.
YouTube is having issues across a whole bunch of platforms. I'm also having issues with it on Android TV - Nougat.
Roll back the updated YouTube App.
Anime is usually 10bit AVC.H264 and is not a recognised hardware video compression standard.
(Use the Mediainfo App on a PC / Mac to examine the files.)
So Anime is not hardware decoded and has to be CPU software decoded and the Mi Box simply does not have the CPU ponies to do such decoding.
Intel i series hardware and the Apple TV 4K does have enough CPU power.
