Best way to watch netflix on android box

by salzberrysteakroger

I have a matricom gbox q2 and since it isn't compatible with Netflix on the Play store, I have to download the apk from their website and side load it. Only problem is that of course the layout is intended for mobile devices and you can't scroll down episodes on the right of the screen if the list of them goes farther down than what the screen shows. Is there any way I can install the android TV version of Netflix on my android box or fix the scrolling issue? I tried looking for an alternative to the Netflix app such as a Kodi add-on that would act as a client but can't find anything.

The software on your gbox q2 is also intended for mobile devices.

1080p Netflix on Android needs a minimum of Widevine L1 DRM and HDCP 1.x

Without those two you have no hope of streaming greater than 480p Netflix.

Step 1) throw the Android junkbox in the trash because a touchscreen UI on a living room TV is idiotic
Step 2) buy a legit Android TV device that has the proper licensing for HD streaming from Netflix

So either a $69 Mi Box or a $180+ NVIDIA Shield TV. Those are the two readily available options.
