Glad to see that they're able to work around some of CableLabs' archaic restrictions on this front. If you told me DRM supported clients HDHomeRun supports was possible say ~10 years ago when it was still pretty much Windows Media Center or Tivo, I would have laughed in your face.

I do have to wonder though exactly what constitutes a 'Google Certified' Android TV device. Is there any decent listing to be found? Not that I'm too worried since my cable provider doesn't have their channels DRM'd anyways (thank god!) but would be good to have documentation handy. Obviously stuff like the Shield should be on that list. Wonder how many built in Android TV sets will be covered?

Wow I stopped following this project almost a year ago. I personally didn't need DRM support (my cable provider never used it) but I was still interested in when this would happen. Glad they finally got it to work. I since switched to Sling and OTA for local channels but I may one day go back to my hdhomerun prime.
