I'm sure a lot of you have this problem, after leaving the Mixbox on for hours the device doesn't respond at all. My only solution is to unplug the power and plug it again. Super annoying. The device never ever did this before the update.
Is there a fix for this? Can I downgrade?
I had this problem which began after updating to Oreo and a factory reset fixed it. I does not go to sleep now and if you turn it off, it turns on fine overnight.

Disable sleep for now. Apparently the closed beta update fixes the issue. Just have to wait for it to be released.
I have not observed this problem and I always leave mine on.
Press the home button (circle) 6-8 times. It happens rarely after the latest update.

Yes. Press Home several times until it leaves the screensaver.
Works for me. With previous versions I only had to press any key. Now it seems only Home works.
I find randomly mashing buttons on the remote then pressing either the Home or Power button wakes it up.
So I had this issue and turned off screen saver or whatever it's called and CEC off too. Now I don't have to wake my mibox up.

In India, we generally turn off the devices we won't use for a longer time. I guess (as saw/read it somewhere) that you guys don't even have switches in your house, direct connections, right?

I did a factory reset and disabled sleep. I don't know which one did it but now the issue is resolved.
Of course there is a problem since Oreo update.
Try this when it happens, press and release power button and wait 10-15 seconds. If that doesn't help, do it again.

This is the first report I heard of this.
I had a similar problem, where the MiBox wouldn't turn on the next day.
Pressing home (cirlce button) and back button for some seconds, restarting the MiBox (unplug-replug), repairing the remote, nothing of that worked.
So I tried different batteries and it worked again.
