I have a Sony X75F Android TV. How do I properly or fully shut it down? I tried to press on the power button it only just seems to put it on standby mode, and if I hold the power button, the TV just restarts. Thanks!

Try Settings > Power > Eco and see if turning that on or off makes any difference.
Pull it out of the wall.
Press the power button on your remote. You don't need to "shut down" TVs. You just let them sit in standby. It costs like $1.50/year in energy to leave them in standby.
How did you turn off your old TV? Surely that just went into standby as well?
Thanks a lot for all the comments and help, guys! I really appreciate it. 😊
Power surges are the leading cause of death with modern electronics.
Every time you disconnect or reconnect power to a device you are creating a power surge.
I think there is an option in the menu - in the "about" option IIRC
