I just recently got a MiBox with Android TV Oreo on it. When trying to play videos with either DTS-MA 7.1 or Dobly TrueHD 7.1 audio I don't get any sound through my Denon AVR-S720W. I have tried with both Plex an Kodi with the audio pass through options turned on for both (I have Kodi set to 7.1 speaker config as well). Surround sound is enabled on the mibox as well. When playing those sources my receiver shows PCM Zero as the source on it. Has anyone had a smilar issue and have an idea of how I can solve it
Audio receiver ON before the Mi Box is booted up.
Turn ALL Dolby audio RF and LINE garbage off in Android Settings.
If not done so already.
Kodi Settings > Player > Videos > Sync Playback to Display > OFF (otherwise expect PCM only audio)
And then you can enjoy passthrough audio dropouts if you actually do get audio.
Passthrough Audio handling on the Oreo Mi Box and the moment is a POS !
