I own a 2015. I hope it never does because I don't want a 2017.
Older model has IR receiver so you can use damn near any remote. Newer does not.
Just keep in mind that the onboard storage will have degraded which will affect performance. But it's still a pretty good deal
That's a pretty good find. Still have mine. Remote has a headphone jack and rechargable. 2017 one lacks the jack & has a coin battery.
