Do you have any of sideloaded apps? Sometimes apps don't play nicely with AndroidTV. Try removing them (and ES Explorer, if you have it) and see how it goes.
Also, do you disable any pre-installed apps? I disabled a Google app I don't need, but it caused OS issues.
