Why isn't air keyboard the default remote for android box?

Is it because most people don't type to the TV so who need to do it frequently have to buy a separate keyboard? But if they have an Android box, then they will search YouTube frequently, don't they?

By android box do you mean a cheap Chinese junk box with the tablet version of android or an actual android tv device?

  1. Atv is a 10ft experince google wants it to be a tv like experence no mouse or keyboard

with youtube, I think casting is way easier than browsing.

Use the AndroidTV remote on your phone to type.

I use the mic button in the YouTube app to do searches.
