I'm looking for a box that has the following:
Google certified
2 USB ports that can support 2TB each
4K support
Chromecast enabled
I will be using it for Kodi, Netflix and DSTV Now [a South African streaming app].
I currently have a myGica box which works fine, but it's not Google-certified and doesn't have chromecast. I currently have 2 external hard drives connected to it with 4TB of media that I access via Kodi.

I have a MiBox, get the Nvidia Shield.
In case anyone comes across this in future, I decided to go with the mibox and have been very happy with it. It works perfectly with my 4TB external hdd and everything works well with kodi. I looked at the shield as others suggested, but the extra cost just wasn't justifiable to me. I don't need to play games, which the shield is more geared towards, so for streaming and watching offline media the mi box is perfect for me.
New Fire tv? Supports auto framerate switching and is half the price of Shield. Dont buy Mibox, I have it, I hate it. I hated it before Oreo update, and now with Oreo is just a S/M relationship. It tortures me, I hit it
There are two devices that run the Android TV OS that are readily available. So pick either the $70 Mi Box or the $140+ Shield TV.
