This better outperform the Shield in software support for that much.
I don't think I'll buy another jbl soundbar. My JBL SB400 just stopped working right after the 1 year warranty expired. Apparently the preamp went bad, as others have had the same issue after 1-2 years, and it's not the easiest thing to fix.
So I've got an expensive soundbar that's now dead in the water from apparently a small piece of the wiring. Their support wanted me to ship it to a service center, with no guarantee of a fix. Shipping costs would be insane, so I'm gonna try to open it up myself and see what I can do.

Price is pretty reasonable for that is inside, except for the question of overall quality.
Price is fair for the US market. I was expecting 450. For us living in Europe that we will probably need to spend 500 - 550 euros to get it, it's hard to justify. We have to wait for real life reviews first of course...
It's more than I'm willing to pay, but if it all works the way it ought to, it's not a bad price for everything you get. That is to say that if it's at least as quick as a MiBox and has the same capabilities as a standalone Assistant speaker plus voice control of the device's own features from other Assistant interfaces. (And it performs its basic functions of HDMI switching and sound output at least as well as is implied by the price point)
