Nvidia Shield Hauppauge USB tv tuner not working

Hello all,

I have a Nvidia Shield 2017 model 16GB running Oreo update. Live Channels 1.17.4 is installed. When I connected the Hauppauge USB TV Under model 1595 it won't load Live Channels application. I downloaded and installed Haystack and tried that way it still won't find the tuner. I tried both USB ports - same issue. I even connected another Shield running Oreo - same issue. What am I missing or this specific tuner no longer compatible? If so which one is. Thanks

Is it the dual tuner? If it's the dual tuner model, it won't work through live channels.

Other option would be to use Plex. Set up a server on the Shield and can set up the tuner that way. Won't have the live channel app integration but will allow for DVR. Plex/Shield now allows for external drives to work with the Plex Server so it makes it easier for the 16GB Shield. (This is what I use now)

Than why are most of the commenters raving about Hauppauge 1657 WinTV-dualHD Cordcutter Dual USB 2.0 TV Tuner for Nvidia Shield and Windows PC ?

For anyone else having issues with the Huppauge XBox one tuner not working with Shield, all I did was leave it plugged and restart the shield and it started working! Hope this helps you guys!
