At $400, it should at least include a dedicated subwoofer.

Since cpu is not mentioned anywhere, it is Amlogic S912 at best but S905x is more likely the answer. A soundbar, that too without any sub-woofer for $400. No thanks!

MiBox already struggles with so many bugs and under-powered hardware, this is 2 year device in best case scenario.

I wonder why don't we have snapdragon based devices without the radios of course. Snapdragons have much better hardware and software support (both first party and by third-parties) than Amlogic. I think even old 801/810/820 would be more powerful than the current Amlogic flasgship S912!

Just like the under-powered TV's that have it built in, it's gonna end up abandoned trash with deprecated software under the hood.

Do we know if Google or JBL is controlling the updates?

Only Stereo!!??? No Dolby or DTS what's the point?

I completely missed that this thing has full Android TV OS inside. I thought it was just Google assistant inside a speaker, like the Google Home Max. While it's still a bit steep at $400, it's definitely a better value than $400 for a Max, especially if the sound quality is up to par for basic TV watching and music listening. I have a Shield and a full surround system in my living room, but this could complement my bedroom TV.
