Does anyone know where Google Live Channels gets its guide data? One channel near me has no data for some subchannels and I'm wondering who I can contact to see if data can be added. The channel in question is WMJF and everything but 39-1 (Grit) has no information. I'm assuming the OTA EPG information isn't being sent but getting in touch with the company that runs the station seems harder.
I can't get Live Channels to pull EPG info either. I do have a Sony TV, so I'm guessing they'd rather me use their guide for data collection. I've looked everywhere, but I've only just been able to get OTA channels and apps to load into it. It's annoy that there isn't a lot of documentation on Live Channels. So much potential, but the app goes unnoticed. Probably because it's hidden a lot of the time.
I think it depends on what software is providing the channels to it. In my case, that is a tvheadend server connected to my ATSC tuner, and it actually does read the guide data from the OTA signal. That data is entirely up to the channel to get right, and where I live it seems most of the channels mess it up pretty often.
