Why are so many apps, which I had installed on my Sony Bravia TV, are not available (do not appear in Google app store) on Nvidia Shield? Like SPB TV, for example.

For Google apps install Yalp Store. It is found on the web and must be sideloaded. An air mouse is highly recommended as you may need a mouse.
Aptoide TV is good also.
do oyu by any chance have an old Sony Bravia TV that is running normal Android and NOT Android TV?
My understanding is that the manufacturers pay for some of the apps to be made for their device (some exclusive rights). A lot of these apps still will work, but have to be side loaded or installed by 3rd party app stores. The ones above are great options.
Shield is 64bit, so any software that is exclusively 32bit will usually not work.
Install aptoid on your shield. It will give you access to the full play store.
