Mi Box switches to 480p resolution when waking up from sleep

by homerguy

My Mi Box will frequently swtich from 4k @ 60hz to 420p when it wakes up from sleep. When I go into display settings only 3 resolutions are available (480p, 720p, 1080p) I have to do a reboot of the box to bring back all the other resolutions including 4k. This seems to be happening post oreo.

Anyone else facing similar issues?

Edit: so a working solution I found, not optimal but I enabled developer options and enabled the option to always keep the mi box awake. I also had to disable HDMI CEC on the MI Box otherwise my TV remote would sleep the mi box along with shutting off the speakers. Ideally I would like full HDMI CEC but no biggy, the MI Box just stays on all the time.

Yep, I disabled auto resolution and manually set it. No problems after that.

I am having the exact same issue. I have disabled the auto resolution and manually set it. Even then when it wakes from sleep, I have only 3 resolutions available. I need to restart to get all the resolutions back.

I am on the latest OTA oreo.

What build are you running?

I've had nothing but problems ever since the Oreo update. I'm to the point where I am probably going to buy a shield. I'm fed up waiting for shit to get fixed on this thing.

Same thing happens to me. I found that turning the TV on (a Vizio D50U) before waking the Mi Box helps.

Same thing happens to me as well but rarely.
