Hmm, I'll try one. I love that remote, I might get one just so I can use that remote with my SHIELD (maybe eventually use the box in the bedroom too).

I don;t have a problem with my Mi Box, other than Android TV sucks. Especially with the new UI, I don't even want to use my Shield. Plus, I have to switch to my Roku or Apple TV to watch Philo anyway.

There are already alternate Google Certified, Netflix approved Android TV devices available in other parts of the world.

Technicolor (Europe) already have various devices out in the market, some even have inbuilt TV tuners like this Vodafone TV one I've found:
