Best Current IPTV Client for AndroidTV?

Hi all,

With Plex removing Grid view I'm on the hunt for a new client.

Plex wasn't a great experience, but kept everything in one place with a nice EPG, so was wife friendly.

On the whole, the next best thing I've found is IPTV Extreme but do have a a few issues with having to always manually update the EPG whenever I launch it as well as a few other niggles.

So given that, I wanted to know what everyone's favourite IPTV clients (as of August 2018) are?

PS- must have's for me:

  1. Auto EPG from my IPTV Link
  2. Easy to use and family friendly

Nice to Have's

  1. A nice layout that lets me navigate different groups and VOD content
  2. Favourite Channels

Check out TVMosaic.

You install their sever component somewhere in your LAN which supports IPTV really well. Then put their client on Android TV and it’s a nice interface. You can even setup recordings.

I’ve been using Perfect Player on both my Shield and Fire TV, set up the same way, for awhile now without many issues. It takes a little bit of time to get used to, but with the ability to hide certain groups and channels and the feature to view groups as folders has been really useful.

I haven't had good success with perfect player. I get too much buffering and unplayable channels. I have had much better success with extreme TV pro. Going to check out TVMosaic., but it is not for US.

You can select multiple video players, I'm using mx player because it double the max volume which is something I find useful because of the speaker I'm using, previously I used vlc but it usually feels like it buffers every minute Previous to that I was using ss iptv but it crashes every now and then and it reset the Playlist 2 times and my favorites aprox 4 times, it was annoying

good naming concept, wife friendly must be a desing criteria, on some rare occasions that can be husband friendly so lets call it marriage friendly
