I'm the author of cryptovoxels , a virtual world where the different buildings in the city are owned on the blockchain - and I've got a version of it that runs really well on the shield TV. Should I package it up and put it on the app store? Exploring the city and checking out art galleries and so on while you lie back on the couch is really relaxing. :)
Does it cost you money to release it on AndroidTV?
If you can do it for all of AndroidTV, not one device, for little cost, then it might be worth it.
If you, as a developer, have to pay a lot of extra costs, than you may want to skip AndroidTV. The awful truth is that AndroidTV is on life support and doesn't have huge numbers to begin with (comparatively). So you won't get rich, but if you do it for all devices and with little overhead, it might make some pocket money (compared to other OSs).
I expect downvotes and understand them because it's the AndroidTV sub, but it's the harsh truth for now.
It sounds like you already have a version up and running. In that case, you would lose little by releasing it. Go for it!
