I have a bravia 4k and am trying to get DirecTV now working on it. It works on the shield with location enabled but it does not in the bravia. It complains about location. Is there a way to track Android TV to always give an address with out trying to root my tv?
I had this same issue with my sony x900e. Definitely an issue with sony's implementation of location services with wifi.

essentially, you will need to install a mock location app (I used floater since it can update the wifi location, and you can enable to start at boot).
usually if you use a google account that is from the us it should work out of the box try enabling wifi and connecting via wifi, sometimes it needs to collect some location data first.
