DVB-S2 USB for Shield/Mi Box

DVB-S2 USB for Shield/Mi Box, does this work? What about ccam/newcam?

After 10 or so years of dipping my toe into the DIY DVR/HTPC world, and even working for a company that made Android-based tuner STBs, I've become convinced that network tuners are the best approach. Driver support is always an issue, but a network tuner sidesteps that by acting like a local IPTV device (depending on the brand. HDHomeRuns will, for sure). It can be now or 10 years later, and the tuner will still work just as good as anything, and will work with whatever future (android or otherwise) box that is out by then.

Plus, it serves TV to your whole network.

I know it's not what you were asking about, but I think most would be happier in the end by going with a network tuner.

I have 3 different, nondescript ATSC usb tuners that work with MiBox.
Picked them up on ebay and aliexpress for under $US 25 a pop. No Live Channels integration but their specific apks work to scan channels, change channels and start recording to a degree.

Worth a shot if you just want to prove a point
