So basically my problem is exactly the same as the one in this thread ( https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/7dpotg/my_sony_bravia_android_tv_guide_has_corrupted/ ) but doing a rescan of the channels isn't doing me any favors like it did for op in that thread. Any other hot tips before I do a factory reset which I rather not do quite yet?

e: for what it's worth i tried to reset and empty the cache of the guide app and all this started after a sony software update
