Mecool M8S Pro L Remote - How to pair

Ordered this remote in order to use it with the Nvidia Shield (because volume control on the shield remote is absolute BS).

As it took me a while to figure out how to put it in pairing mode, I thought I would post it for the archives. 😉

How to put remote in pairing mode: Press volume down (-) and center (OK) for approx. 2-3 seconds

Side note: the voice button doesn't work with the shield don't know why and don't really care either.

So other than the voice button, it works? No bluetooth disconnect issues?

I bought this remote recently from BangGood (still in transit) to see how it worked on the Shield. Kind of a shame to hear the voice doesn't work, but if it works otherwise without any unpairing issues, than that is good to know.

Just got pointed to this post from the Geforce forum. I have been waiting for nearly a month for this remote to arrive from Banggood, and really disappointed to hear it's not working well. I was hoping this would be the perfect remote to replace the POS Nvidia one.
