Google Play music problems

I wonder if anyone can help I used to have this problem on my Nexus player and now I've upgraded to my NVIDIA player and the same problem persists

Whenever I'm using Google Play music and I'm in my library and try to play music from the artist section it won't ever play the song it says "could not retrieve music"

but it will play any of the playlist that I have made its fine. I had this problem before I thought it would have been fixed with the Nvidia but obviously not.

any help please

I've done the whole clear data reset app stuff already.

Been having this issue for months also. I know the songs are fine because they used to play on the shield and all play perfectly fine on my phone through play music app.

Having a similar issue with Nvidia Shield TV. Reset everything and re-synced. Unable to play music.

Totally disappeared from Mibox. The icon is there, the app appears but doesn't show on the home screen and won't open.
