The "Forced" option has been removed. That's how I was getting 5.1 audio forced through the TOSLink (SPDIF) cable.
Now it's just like it was before Oreo hit. Everything converts to 2 channel stereo because it's trying to send audio through my HDMI cable which my TV is only stereo so it thinks everything must be converted to stereo.
If its the Dynamic Range Control setting then....
Dolby Dynamic Range Control (DRC) Setting. Use this menu to set the dynamic range control, which reduces or increases sound. levels. This setting can be useful when, for example, you want to watch a movie. without hearing wide volume swings between loud and quiet sounds.
5.1 audio still has HDMI passthrough audio dropouts when using Netflix with the "Auto" audio setting.
Changing it to PCM gives you 2.0 audio only.
I've No 5.1 Dolby Digital only audio equiptment to test Netflix 5.1 DD+ > 5.1 DD audio downmixing.
Same old pos
5.1 does not work. It skips. Same as before the update.
