So before I am going to buy the Xiaomi Mi Box... Can I buy like a Micro SD card to increase the capacity of the device? The device is only 8 gigabytes and I don't think that's sufficient for me. I am not going to be gaming or anything on the device. I am just going to be watching stuffs on Kodi, Netflix and perhaps something more in the future.
The only thing the onboard storage is basically used for is installed apps. Everything else like your media files for Kodi will/should be stored on external storage, whether it's a hard drive connected right to the device or a NAS or whatever. Don't worry about 8GB of storage.
No SD card port, but I used a flashdrive to expand storage... For maybe a month or two and realized I didn't need it. I use Netflix, Kodi, Vue, etc without issues.

Sure, the device has a USB port. You can mount external storage through it. And make sure to install Google Assistant on your Mi Box 3. Its so much of fun 🤪
